On Sunday, October 20, 2019 I continued my drive to El Paso to meet my Road Scholar group. However, on my way I stopped at the White Sands National Monument for a couple of hours. I normally don’t like to see white stuff like this on the ground but this white stuff wasn’t cold and wet. The Visitor’s Center sold round plastic sleds and I saw many families playing on the dunes. There was also a group tailgating and sledding. The other parks I’ve been to with dunes don’t want you to walk on the dunes but here they encourage it.
